Penn State has adopted Microsoft MFA as its current 2FA (two-factor authentication) platform. All services provided by Penn State will be placed behind the MFA login.
Enrolling Devices in MFA
To enroll devices in MFA, visit the Penn State Two Factor Authentication page here: https://accounts.psu.edu/mfa and click Manage MFA on My Devices. From here, you can view all of your enrolled devices and edit them, or add new devices.

We urge that you add two types of devices in case one is lost, damaged, or inaccessible. In the event of the first device being down, without the second device you will not be able to log into Penn State services.
Resetting Your MFA Device (lost or broken etc.)
There may be a situation in which you can no longer use a MFA enrolled device, such as if your cell phone was lost and was replaced. If you have a second device added to your MFA profile, you can use that device to log into the Penn State MFA Page. From there, click Manage MFA on My Devices to remove or add new devices.
If you do not have a secondary device set up and your primary device is lost, stolen or unavailable, you will have to call the Penn State Help Desk at 814-865-HELP to reset your logins.
