The method of accessing the U: and W: drives on a Mac are slightly different that on a Windows PC. Follow the steps below to access your files.
Accessing U: drive:
Click on Go, then Connect to Server…
3. In the Server Address field type: smb://files.athletics.psu.edu/UsersEAD/xyz123 (where xyz123 is your user ID). Pressing the ‘+’ button will save the address for quicker access in the future.
Accessing the W: drive:
Start by clicking on the desktop to activate the Finder menu.
Click Go, then Connect to Server…
In the Server Address field type: smb://files.athletics.psu.edu/Shared
This will open a list of all department shares. You will only have access to the shares you use.
Pressing the ‘+’ button will save the address for quicker access in the future.
